Maybe they thought the talent pool would be small in Portland which is why they never held the American Idol auditions here before. Or maybe they looked at our neighboring small towns and thought that it’d be all Birkenstock and bangos, or big voices and even bigger hair…yikes. Well, what ever they thought they will know soon enough because American Idol auditions for the 11th season are finally coming to Portland for the first time July 2nd! Are you young, hot, and talented and ready to be a big star? Or maybe you are the next Susan Boyle? Make some room in your bank account and get ready for your big break. The Rose Quarter is host to Pre-registration which is June 30-July 1st and wristbands will be distributed to auditioners during pre-registration (tables open Thursday and remain open until Saturday morning). Once auditioners obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to the stadium early morning Saturday, July 2 to line up for their audition.

Since I’m the Charlie FM General Manager I would like to do an annual State of the Charlie Union address every year, beginning now, just like the President.

Charlie FM Listeners,

Thank you Charlie, Charlie Girl and Charlie’s Mom for being here tonight. Thank you Charlie FM listeners for staying loyal to your favorite Hits radio station. The listeners matter here in Charlie Town so that’s why we have our All Music Workday from 9am to noon every weekday. Plus we have our new Club Charlie every Saturday night from 6 to midnight for all of you club goers and par-tiers. No longer do you need your ipod for your house parties or cd’s for you cab rides, just turn your radio dial to 97.1! We are even awarding prizes now to our listeners every morning at 7:15am for My Charlie Awards. We will forever be your radio station without all of the talk but with all of the great prizes! Thank you and God Bless Charlie FM!

Do the competitors get a rebuttal? nah….
