Let’s Make A Zombie Movie!

It’s true! Soon, you’ll be seein’ your dear ol’ Charlie Girl with brains comin’ out of her mouth. Shocking? Well, kinda. I mean, how do you get into character for something like that? If you think you know, or you want to find out (uh, what’s wrong with you?), then you need to audition for a role in Portland’s feature length zombie spoof movie Stripperland. Don’t worry. There’s no real stripping involved, just blood curtling limb eating. Feel better?

New Year’s Resolutions

Picture 59It Came from the Year 2010. That’s the dish I ordered at Beesaw’s on 21st around 2 p.m. New Year’s Day. It was the name of the breakfast special, crab and shrooms and jack. But alas, they were out…of the Year 2010 that is. Sad. There it was the first day of the year, and already, I couldn’t get what I wanted. The conversation with the fella behind the counter, Richard, made up for it though. I almost ordered him instead. But again, can’t always get what you want.

Anyhow, as you can see, it’s been a couple of weeks since I updated the ol’ blog. However, I have been a very busy Charlie Girl during the holiday. Ya, so I spent Christmas at home alone with my cat Vito watching bad holiday movies and playing dress up all day (the result of which is the photo to the left). Well, there was that hour-long excursion to the Cove, but that’s not really appropriate chat for here. Anyhow, I saw lots and lots of live music between Christmas and NYE. Heck. I played lots of live music throughout the holiday, and even wrote a few songs too.
