Dude, so I just got back from Auburn, Washington and did you know the Aerosmith show was cancelled? I guess Steven Tyler fell off of a stage in Canada and broke his shoulder and had to get stiches in his head! I wondered why there was no one there… It took me a little bit longer than usual to get back to Portland cause I had to hitch hike. Oh thanks Don from Alaska for the ride from Tacoma to Portland! Usually it only takes a little bit longer to hitch hike but since there was no show, there wasn’t much traffic. Such a bummer man, I really wanted to see Aerosmith. I heard that ZZ Top might start their own tour now. Well it’s been a few days since I showered and I just got back from Auburn so I’m gonna go pass out. Oh and check out the video below of Steven’s fall. Get well soon man.

Peace

My Mom and I recently got on the topic of allowance. She won’t give me more dollars for my allowance and I had to find a way for her to give me more. I don’t think one dollar for every year I’m alive is enough a week, especially if she doesn’t increase it quarterly. If I’m 9 and a half I should get $9.50. It’s a big problem when I come to work. I mean everyone else in the office gets to go out to lunch and my allowance doesn’t cover the expensive places! Even the grown men in the office get allowances from their wives! If Sales Manager, Jimmy gets enough money from his wife, I should get enough from my Mom! Well I found a web site that helps you figure out how much allowance you should give your kids. Please look at this mom! It really works to your benefit if your parents got a high allowance when they were your age. It might even help out you guys out there that your wife handles the check book.

I’ve decided to share with all of you Charlie listeners out there my love for milkshakes. I’ve had this obsession since I was a small boy and used to make them myself with my mom’s bright orange blender before I could drive, but now I just drive to the closet drive thru to get one. We’ll start with the bottom and work our way up.

The bottom consists of the thinest, almost milk like part of the milkshake that was at the top of the blender. I love this part and sometimes I’ll let the milkshake sit out for a few minutes to let the thin stuff collect at the bottom. If I’m really thirsty or have really bad cotton mouth I’ll just keep drinking and that takes me to the middle.

The middle is usually the thickest part of the milkshake and you have to suck really had through the straw and my cheek muscles usually get tired when I’m at this part of the shake. This is also the coldest part of the shake so if it’s a really hot day, this section cools you off the most. After you give your cheek muscles a break and move onto the next section, the top.

The top is usually a mixture of what’s on the very bottom, the thin milky part and the foam. Now I don’t like the foam part but if I’m really thirsty I’ll still drink it. Hey, you can’t let it go to waste! If you don’t like the foam part either when you’re still at the middle section you can usually mix the 2 sections together with a straw to avoid the foam.

Now that you know the structure of a milkshake, who has the best milkshakes?

McD’s: Their milkshakes are super thick (hence they’re called triple thick) and great for extra hot days, plus they are easy on the wallet. I go to McDonald’s all the time cause they are right by my pad.

The Burger Village: These are my favorite and they have seasonal flavors too. Burgerville’s shakes are good all of the time and aren’t too thick and they put whip topping on the seasonal shakes. They’ve got a great Mocha Perk that is good if you need a pick up but don’t like coffee. My favorite of their shakes is by far the Chocolate Hazelnut seasonal shake. It’s only around during the holiday season and January. This past year they had it early in October/November and Burgerville had a portion of my pay check in their registers for that 3 month time peroid. The only downside to their shakes is they are a little spendy, but worth it.

Mike The Man Drive In: If you like variety this is your place! They’ve got so many flavors and combinations you could have a different flavored shake for every day for probably 2 months. They’re priced pretty well too. I only wish they had drive thru’s.

BK: These shakes are alright and are priced fairly too. The best thing about Burger King is that if you are lactose intolerant you can get the Icee’s! They’re just like the ones from convenice stores and they usually have atleast 2 flavors.

Your Mom, Wendy: These milkshakes are legendary and you’ve gotta use a spoon. Recently they come in multiple flavors and you can add topping to them too. Most recently they’ve got coffee ones and boy do those hit the spot. Their shakes are great to dip your fries and you can’t say about every one’s shakes.

Nearly all of the fast food joints have milk shakes but these were the ones I look for when driving down 82nd ave. Next time you’re drinking a milkshake, look for the layers!

Later dude.

So I got to go to the En Vogue concert and The Fray recently. The Fray was awesome! So to start it was at McMenamins Edgefield, a great venue and the weather couldn’t of been better. Jacks Mannequinwas one of the openers and I had heard of them previously but never seen them live, what a great opener! Also I didn’t know this but McMenamins serves Ruby, (a slightly sweet, ale beer that you can only get at McMenamins seasonally) at their concerts, woah dude I was stoked when I found that out. The great thing about that venue is you can sit in the very back, which I did, and you could still see the stage and hear everything perfectly. They played all of their hits, yeah I sang along to every one of them, so what. They also played Kanye West when they can back out for their encore. The encore was longer than any of the other shows I’ve been to. Over all I give them a 8, with 10 being the highest.

Now En Vogue was at Spirit Mountain Casino and I love Spirit Moutain! You’ve gotta book your hotel room pretty far in advance cause the lodge fills up quick especially when there is a good show like En Vogue. My room was great, as it always is, and I definitley got a smoking room. I love that they still offer that. I also like the buffet there. I could retire at Spirit Mountain and be the happiest man alive. But back to the show, it was packed and En Vogue is just as good as they were back in the day and they are still smokin’ hot! Never gonna get, never gonna get it… I sang their songs for the rest of the night. I give En Vogue an 8 too, their show wasn’t as good but I love Spirit Mountain Casino!

Peace man.

I was just thinking some more about words…

Quarterback

I gave a dude a dollar for a twix bar, but he only gave me a quarterback!!  What a slam!

Crisis

I seen this chick just crying and crying at the arcade, and so I’m like, “Don’t cry-sis, I’ll spring for your skeeball!”

Dispair

I was at the club last night when one of the frisky ladies lift up her shirt and said “Yo, Leon! Check out dis-pair!”

some words for thought….

A bicycle can’t stand alone for very long, because it’s two-tired!!

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana!

Show me a piano falling down a mineshaft and I’ll show you A-flat minor…

A lot of money is tainted. ‘Taint yours and ‘taint mine.
